I Write Songs and Make Music
“Andy's sharp observational songwriting and fund of fascinating anecdotes absolutely captivated the audience. A born storyteller and charismatic singer at the height of his powers.” - Tom Robinson (BBC 6 Music)
I am a songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer. My solo career began in 2005 with my debut album, The Final Scene, under the pseudonym Atlum Schema. In 2009, my self-titled album gained attention, with the track "Ballad Of The Self-blessed, Self-less" receiving praise from BBC 6 Music.
I released two more Atlum Schema albums, One World Less (2011) and Year 0 (2014), as well as the Arrow of Time EP (2017), refining and developing my expansive soundscapes and haunting melodies. I often play using live loops and I’ve shared stages with The Enemy, Duke Special, Two Door Cinema Club, Inspiral Carpets, among others over the years. I’ve also performed at TEDx events in Nicosia (2014) and Leamington Spa (2017).
In late 2021, I launched Home is No(w)here, a growing collection of tracks infused by the spirit of my semi-nomadic existence. Sleep It Off was the first single, followed by Tin Soldier and Raise a Glass.
The project was briefly interrupted in 2023 by the release of Still Time, a single inspired by an art exhibition at LTB Showrooms in Coventry. The song incorporated found sounds from the building, capturing its essence before its imminent demolition.
I am currently developing ambient soundscapes in the studio and continuing work on Home is No(w)here.
I am an accredited and fully insured coach. I qualified through The Coaching Academy in 2020 and have experience working with many individuals from different backgrounds worldwide since 2014 when I launched The Haven. You can view my credentials and commitment to the ICF Code of Ethics.

In March 2020 I started a podcast about the BBC TV show, Inside No 9 with my friend, Steve. It's been such a joy to create. Listen along as you watch.
Initially established in 2014, The Haven is an online village for gentle rebels to meet, rest, and create together without judgement or pressure.
It's for people who tend to see, feel, and experience things differently but have learned to wear masks, hide in the shadows, or reshape their natural preferences to fit what's expected of them. The Haven is where you can (re)discover your playful creative core and explore who you are and what you want to do with your one wild and precious life.
